THE FOUNDER OF CHARITY AND FAITH MISSION CHURCH:

Pastor Titus and Sibongile Sithole founded Charity and Faith Church in 1994. The church started with 6 people at the YMCA Community Hall. As membership was growing, in 1998, Pastor Titus Sithole and his wife managed to raise funds to buy land where the church auditorium was built. On the first Sunday of January 1998, the church moved to its own land at Khutsong, Mamelodi East, where services were held in a tent. Services were held in a tent from January to March.

In April of 1998, services were held under the steel structure. In the same year, in September, the building of the church was completed and it was dedicated to the Lord. God has used Pastor Titus to reach and lead thousands of people to Christ in Mamelodi. He has raised a number of pastors whom he ordained and commissioned into the ministry. God has also used him to disciple and mentor many believers in and outside his church to be great leaders.

Pastor Titus has started another ten satellite churches in Mamelodi and the surrounding areas. In 2015, he started a church in Mpumalanga, KwaMhlanga. There are three branches in the area.

General Overseer Titus and Pastor Sibongile Sithole founded Bophelong Community Centre in the year 2000. This was the culmination of their experience as missionaries in Katima, Namibia for over 10 years and the establishment of the mother organization Charity & Faith Mission church, that saw them create this onestop Centre of Hope, which provides free and easily accessible social and welfare services to the community of Mamelodi and surrounding areas. Bophelong is a SeTswana word, which means - "Where Life Is Sustained". The Centre is therefore well positioned as a "Haven for Life and Well-Being" it can be characterized as a cetral place of community development and amelioration. The centre is situated within the premises of Charity & Faith Mission, but is run independently from the church to ensure proper accountability to our stakeholders.

HIS LIFE AND MINISTRY OUTSIDE CHARITY AND BOPHELONG

Partnership with local churches

Pastor Titus is a mentor and a leader who has been training pastors and Christian leaders in South Africa on how to succeed in ministry. He has taken over a hundred pastors to the USA for leadership conferences. Pastor Titus and his congregation are helping other churches to succeed in many ways. They are helping other churches with the completion of their buildings and training church leaders on how to start community projects, especially HIV/AIDS, in their churches.

Partnership with international ministries

Pastor Titus Sithole and Charity and Faith, as well as Bophelong Hospice, have partnered with the following churches and organizations: Crossroads Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, Northshore Christian Church in the USA, and Hospice of Cincinnati in Ohio.

  • Pastor Titus and his partners have built 40 houses for the widows and the orphans on their property and gave them the houses.
  • We have erected more than 200 shacks for large families who had just a small shack.
  • We planted over 5000 gardens in the community of Mamelodi in people's yards.
  • We have seen over 23,000 people who had eye problems and gave them glasses to see and read.
  • We have set up community clinics with our USA partners to see all kinds of health issues and give medication and refer patients to local hospitals and clinics.
  • We have relocated victims of xenophobic attacks into the community and bought them shacks, beds, plates, hotplate stoves, and many items they need to start a new home.

We also have brought all the disabled people in Mamelodi to our church to give them wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
